Organisational networks are struggling to keep pace with the spreading demands of a hybrid workforce. As we step further into a digitally driven world with an increasing worker diaspora and a hybrid workforce, the
challenges and opportunities in cybersecurity and networking are evolving at an unprecedented pace. Threats to organisations are multi-pronged and the possible points of attack have spread far beyond the enterprise

Ecosystm supported by their partners NEC Australia and Cisco conducted a Leaders Roundtable in Sydney, which was joined by technology and cyber experts. The discussion focused on best practices in using AI and tech innovations to ensure organisational network strategies meet the needs of a hybrid workforce.

Key insights from the discussions include:

💡 While business leaders are excited about AI, security teams emphasise the need for data readiness, guardrails, and clear policies before full integration.

💡AI-driven network security must prove ROI with high-value use cases and prototypes to gain leadership support.

💡Managing hybrid multi-cloud data is challenging; centralising data ensures security but may clash with the need for data federation.

💡GenAI and deep fakes introduce risks like executive impersonation and employee manipulation, requiring new technology and shifts in authentication practices.

💡Trust is essential for monitoring hybrid workers. Gamification and positive reinforcement are useful, but continuous education and practical solutions like anti-phishing gamification are key for ongoing security awareness.
